About the OES

The Ontario Economic Summit (OES), introduced in October 2004, was an unprecedented success. The Summit brings together thought leaders of business, labour, academia, non-profit organizations and government in a common goal to collaborate, innovate and lead Ontario to greater economic prosperity.

As a gathering of influential and diverse leaders, the first principle of the OES is that priorities, actions and outcomes are shaped by participants at the annual Ontario Economic Summit. At this two day event, invited leaders identify strategic priorities for the province. Partnerships and alliances are then formed to act on specific collaborative projects and initiatives throughout the year.

The OES Secretariat resides within the offices of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC). The Secretariat oversees operations and facilitates Summit priorities. The OCC remains committed to supporting the Ontario Economic Summit and its goal to position Ontario as one of the top economic jurisdictions in the world.
